Leantime's Project Blueprint feature ensures that you focus on the right tasks at the right time, connecting your strategic business plan to your projects. By utilizing various tools to analyze your customers, problems, and solutions, Leantime's project blueprints guide your project toward success.

Exploring the Blueprints View

To access the blueprints page, simply go to the project bar on the left side of your screen and click the Blueprints tab. We recommend starting with the Project Value Canvas as your initial blueprint, as it helps define essential project information required to deliver value to users. Click on "Start Here with the Project Value Canvas" to begin using your first template. Below the Overall Blueprints tile, you'll find the Templates tile, which offers eight different boards to assist you in developing your project details. Click on the blue name of any template to start creating and editing your strategic blueprint.

Creating Your Project Blueprint

While each board serves a specific purpose, the overall layout of each tool is similar. Once you've selected the board you want to work on, you'll see different columns to fill out. For the Project Value Canvas, these columns include Customer Segments, Problem, Solution, and Benefit. Simply click the "Add New" button below each column to enter the relevant information. You'll be prompted to provide details such as data, conclusions, assumptions, and establish a status or relationship based on the requirements of the different project tools. Don't forget to save your progress! Once you've added information, it will be displayed like this:

Updating Blueprint Information

You have the flexibility to modify the status or relationship of specific information within your blueprint directly from the information tile. Alternatively, you can click on the three dots located in the top right corner of the tile to edit or delete information from your project blueprint.

Editing the Overall Project Blueprint

To make changes to the overall Project Blueprint, select the three dots in the top right corner of your screen and choose the "edit" option. This allows you to rename your blueprint and update its details.

Creating Another Project Blueprint

If you wish to create an additional blueprint of any type, simply click the drop-down arrow next to the current board's name. From there, select "Create New Board," enter a name for your new blueprint, and click "Create Board."

Deleting a Project Blueprint

To remove a blueprint, select the three dots in the top right corner of the screen while viewing the blueprint you want to delete, and choose "Delete." A confirmation box will appear so things cannot be accidentally deleted.
